Innovation must keep moving forward. But how about this innovation. This is power plant. Unfortunately this powerplant is human powered. To made some electricity, you must crank the generator. This power generator designed by Mouna Andraos, Jennifer Broutin, Carmen Trudell with Mike Dory @ Eyebeam for the Alternative Energy Workshop and spotted in Instructables. This “rice powered” power plant can produce up to 8V at 70 mA.

This power generator also has NiMH baterei to save the energi and use it at another time. More over, it has solar panel to get more electricity from the sun. But I thing they must calculate how much the energy can be produce and how much energy (in calory or in ATP) lose in order to crank the generator.
