We look to vendors of unreleased phones on eBay much the same way we look at the FCC approval of the database device: fun for displays, but this is so. We are confident that we will get part with enough cash personally to know whether the seller of the HTC Shadow II for T-Mobile is really something to sell us, although we can totally understand why well-heeled people may be willing to be able to go (although we had enough money to buy a phone straight set off an FCC lab, we’d probably be living somewhere in a private islands with no phone service to begin with). The long-rumored smartphone seems to have changed colors every time we see that, with this latest package of photos suggesting a glossy black front with dark red accents inclination – not bad, we’ll admit. Like the original, the Shadow II packages WiFi and a 2 megapixel camera, but when it starts later this year will emerge from the pack with Windows Mobile 6,1 and friendlier an industrial design. Oh – and hopefully friendlier price of a functional prototype is now headed to auction
